Your Sunday has started, but your mind is already on Monday.

Oh, man! Can you believe this? Sunday has barely even started, the coffee is still in the pot, and here we are already mulling over tomorrow’s deploy as if Monday had already booted up.

You're sitting there, nice and calm, with a pão de queijo in hand, but your mind has already wandered off to the virtual office. Your body is on the couch, but your thoughts are already in the middle of that daily meeting that hasn't even happened yet, trying to guess which “thing” is going to go wrong in the upcoming sprint.

We call this being mentally "on call," you know? It's like our system never shuts off, staying there processing in the background, burning a tremendous amount of energy trying to predict the future. For those who live far away, like in Canada or Portugal, this context overload is even harder because we're caught between the time zone over there and the longing for home back here, trying to handle everything on our own.

Many times we try to rationalize, right? We think it's just about being productive, that it's "just part of the job." But hey, working in emergency mode all the time isn't normal, you know? Our brains aren't servers designed to have 99.9% uptime without ever needing real maintenance.

Life is not just the infinite backlog that we carry on our backs. Sometimes, the best "debug" we can do is simply sit down, slowly sip a coffee (preferably brewed through a cloth filter), and understand that we are human beings, not delivery scripts.

Perhaps it's worth noting how long it has been since you enjoyed a Sunday without that nagging guilt of not being productive. When exhaustion becomes this constant weight, seeking specialized support for those living under the pressure of technology can be a good option.

If that feeling of being constantly plugged in makes sense to you, we can sit down and talk about it for a while.
